
Position Overview
As a Communications Officer, you will support the Head of Communications in producing well-crafted content that resonates with and helps expand our audience. You will be responsible for crafting and disseminating content for our various channels, helping to reflect GenEI’s missions and activities, and highlighting the work of our growing community.
The position is voluntary, with an expected commitment of 4-5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop written and visual content for GenEI’s website, social media, newsletters, and other communication channels, maintaining consistent messaging across channels
- Manage GenEI’s social media accounts, ensuring a consistent flow of engaging posts, and optimise social media content based on audience insights
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to drive GenEI’s expansion on platforms beyond LinkedIn, including the exploration of new content formats
- Support our Editorial and Events teams in the promotion and dissemination of their work across our various channels
- Help expand GenEI’s reach within the EU and India, targeting young audiences.
- Assist in building relationships with media and partners to enhance GenEI’s visibility.
Post-Specific Requirements
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and with content creation (layout design, Canva, image editing).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Not a requirement but highly appreciated: video editing and/or web design skills.
General Requirements
- Passion for EU-India relations and youth engagement.
- Be a national of any of the 27 EU Member States, India, or a country recognised as an EU membership candidate.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
