About the Authors
Denise Eichhorn is an Associate Member of Generation EU-India (GenEI). As a professional working on skilled migration and Indo- German labour market cooperation, she draws on over eight years of experience in India. She has led the Skilled Migration function at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai, where she worked closely with Indian and German companies, government authorities, and international partners to facilitate talent mobility. As the Program Director, India, at the charity Setuwelt, she leads program implementation in India by selecting and holistically preparing scholars from low-income families for apprenticeships in Germany. Denise holds a Master of Arts in Advanced International Business Management from Newcastle University Business School and a Master of Science in International Business Management from the University of Groningen. Building on her expertise, she focuses on fostering effective, ethical, and sustainable Indo-German skilled-migration pathways.
Manisha Bieber is Co-Founder and Director of External Relations at Generation EU-India (GenEI). Having lived 14 years in India and 15 years in the EU (Germany and the Netherlands), and speaking six languages, including four Indian/Asian languages, she brings personal insight into EU–India relations, migration, and cross-cultural cooperation. She holds a BA in European Studies and an MA in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University, with a focus on EU–India trade and skilled migration policy. She brings professional experience from the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, and from leading university career guidance sessions that support international students navigating the German labour market. At 18, she founded a family office and, since 2022, has been actively engaged in the Working Group for Entrepreneurs and SMEs within the SPD in Germany, representing over 30,000 companies, where she serves on the Federal Board and as the Deputy Chair in Rhineland-Palatinate.
