Generation EU-India was founded by four young people—Manisha Bieber, Patrizia Cogo, Matías Díaz Roqueta, and Aditi Mukund. Throughout 2024, they collaborated to develop and launch this initiative, driven by a commitment to foster deeper understanding between the EU and India by empowering and engaging youth. By providing a platform for young voices, they aim to influence and contribute to the future of EU-India relations positively and constructively. They endeavour to be a comprehensive resource for all stakeholders in the EU-India corridor. Hence, the values that guide GenEI’s activities are:

Youth Empowerment

Empowering young people to actively participate in shaping EU-India relations ensures that the perspectives of the next generations are brought to the table. This value guides GenEI’s activities by prioritizing initiatives that provide tools, resources, and platforms for youth engagement, fostering leadership and a sense of agency among young Europeans and Indians.

Collaboration

Strengthening EU-India relations requires collaborative efforts across sectors. This value guides GenEI’s actions by encouraging partnerships and teamwork, both within the organization and with external stakeholders, to work towards common goals and increased mutual understanding.

Cultural Sensitivity

Encompasses the recognition and appreciation of diverse perspectives, the ability to adapt to different cultural contexts, and the maintenance of mutual respect. This value guides GenEI’s activities by fostering an environment that enhances collaboration and mutual understanding in EU-India relations.
