General requirements
- Passion for EU-India relations and youth engagement.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Be a national of any of the 27 EU Member States, India, or a country recognised as an EU membership candidate.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Exceptions: Candidates exceeding this age range or whose nationality falls outside our standard eligibility criteria may be considered for membership. If you do not meet the eligibility criteria but still wish to apply, please contact us separately at membersgenei@gmail.com. We are also open to exploring advisory roles for those with relevant experience and a strong alignment with our network’s goals.

Are the positions paid?
No, all positions at GenEI are unpaid. As a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering EU-India relations, we operate entirely on a volunteer basis. Our team members are passionate individuals who contribute their time and skills to make a meaningful impact. Volunteering with GenEI offers invaluable experience, networking opportunities, and the chance to shape the future of EU-India relations.
I feel like I am not qualified for any position, should I apply?
Absolutely! We encourage everyone interested in our mission to apply, regardless of your experience level. At GenEI, we value enthusiasm, dedication, and a willingness to learn. Our diverse team includes individuals from various backgrounds, and we provide support and training to help you grow in your role. If you’re passionate about EU-India relations and eager to contribute, we’d love to hear from you.
Do you have any fixed hours?
No, we do not have fixed working hours. As all roles are volunteer-based, the vast majority of our team members have other commitments such as jobs or studies. We strive to offer flexibility, allowing you to contribute at times that suit your schedule. However, we do expect a level of commitment to ensure that projects are completed on time and that the team can rely on each other. Clear communication, willingness, and time management are key.
Can I apply for more than one position?
